举例论证是同学们常用且考官们很推荐的一种论证办法。
常用关联词有：as a proof, as an illustration, as an example, for example, for instance, in particular, just as, namely, specifically, to illustrate, to demonstrate等。而在句型方面也是很灵活的。
比如：A good case in point is that …;A typical example can be found in …;Take … for example, …;…， which may include …等。
在举例当中同学们的误区在于，愈加倾向于举很“具体”的例子，而且存在正侥幸心理编一些中国人名和例子。

引用论证
引用论证，是最为考验考生常识储备的一种论证办法。引用论证，一般引用名人名言﹑权威数据，研究成就﹑学术刊物，它可以增加论证的可信度和权威性。
但，这种论证办法最易被考生误用或滥用，不少考生没常识储备就自己捏造一些名言或数据。最夸张的是有时所谓“名言”却出现语法错误，所谓“权威数据”却不合情理甚至荒谬。
因此，建议考生们在备考时适合筹备几句名言警句，假如能在考试中用上最好，假如不可以那就用前面介绍的几种论证办法。但，对于常识面较广，语言水平较高的考生，完全可以用引用论证，如此不只能增强论证的权威感也能展示我们的优势。
